8 Vehicles Crossed The Bicycle Lane in South Jakarta Ticketed

West Jakarta Transportation Sub-department (Sudinhub) ticketed 8 vehicles crossed the phase 2 bicycle lane located from Jalan Sisingamangaraja until Jalan Jenderal Sudirman.

"Since November 25, we have ticketing the violators by cooperating with South Jakarta police officers. Previously, we have socialized this policy for almost three months," stated Budi Setiawan, South Jakarta Sudinhub Head, Tuesday (11/26).

In this controlling, three bajajs, one box van, three pickups, and one truck were ticketed due to traverse the bicycle lane in front of ITC Fatmawati, Blok A Market, Monalisa Shop, and intersection of Jalan RS Fatmawati Raya.

"We deploy 34 personnel with assistance from 14 South Jakarta traffic police officers," he added.

Regulation about bicycle lane has been issued through Jakarta Governor Regulation (Pergub) No. 128/2019 about Bicycle Lane Procurement. In this regulation, it is said that bicycle lane should be crossed only by bicycles, electric bicycles, scooter, hoverboard, and unicycle.

"We hope in the future bicycle can be used as a transport for citizen's daily activities," he mentioned.
